Checked Baggage (most airlines within U.S.): First Bag $25; Second Bag $35; Third Bag $125 (USD)

Master the Airport

When traveling within the U.S., Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands, you need one unexpired form of the following forms of identification: Passport, Drivers License or Military ID.

The minimum security check-in time for travelers checking bags in the U.S. varies between a low of 30 minutes at some airports and a full 90 minutes at others.

Pack Smart

Put your name and the phone number of your destination on the inside and outside of your bag.

If children are traveling for free, they don't have a baggage allowance. So any baggage for the child counts as part of the parent's baggage allowance. (most commercial carriers)

Checked baggage must weigh 50 lbs. (23 kg) or less and its combined length, width and height must measure 62 inches (158 linear cm) or less.
